I am with Comcast HSI service. Recently my Motorola SB5120 modem's RJ45 port was fried by lighting. When I connect my router or computer to RJ45 port of the modem, the PC/Activity light is always off. Now I can only use the modem by its USB port, which doesn't support more than 1 computer.
So I bought another SB5120 from ebay and wanted to copy my old modem's MAC address to the new one. I found some online articles that mentioned MAC address change option in the modem's configuration page. However I couldn't find such option in 192.168.100.1. Did Motorola or Comcast remove such option?
I know the best way is call Comcast to register the new modem but my internet is under my landlord's name. She is in Taiwan on vacation and I don't have her contact information.
Thanks!
